243 BOSTON SHOW WEEK MAY 9, '10 [1910]. (Monday afternoon) R. G. Larsen. LENA PANTZER. 9 minutes f.s. This is a great opening act, good value for the money. Miss Pantzer and her partner are both full of life, the man is a good acrobat, and comedian, and the lady has some really good stunts on the wire and on the stage. MINNIE ST. CLAIR. 14 minutes in 1. This was rather a hard spot for Miss St. Clair with the house coming in, and she naturally did not go as big as I have seen her in other places, nevertheless she got by in good shape. DOLLY BURTON'S LEAPING DOGS. 13 minutes f.s. A troupe of trained animals that work very well, certainly good value for the money. The leaping greyhounds got a big hand. WILBUR MACK AND NELLA WALKER. 14 minutes in 1-1/2. One of the daintiest and best acts of the kind we have played; went well all through and got a big hand. TOM NAWN AND COMPANY IN "WHEN PAT WAS KING." 25 minutes f.s. One of the best laughing acts we have played this season, in fact, the hit of the bill. WILLETTE WHITTAKER ASSISTED BY WILBUR HILL. 18 minutes in 1. Miss Whittaker has changed her act considerable since she last appeared here, works with a plush drop opening with a rather novel light affect, got a warm reception and went bigger than ever. "AT THE COUNTRY CLUB." 32 minutes f.s. This is probably the best of the Lasky acts, is full of ginger, picturesque and with more comedy than we usually get. Went first rate this afternoon. LES TROMBETTAS. 14 minutes in 1. This pair had a hard spot and held it down in great shape this afternoon. The comedy element was stronger than I expected and that helped a whole lot. BELLCLAIRE AND HERMANN. 11 minutes f.s. Another act that went big here to-day and held the closing spot. PICTURES. "Fuss and feathers," and "The doctored dinner pail," two very good comedy films. COMMENT. This show worked out in splendid shape this afternoon, got under way early, and kept going with a dash to the final curtain. In fact, one of the best running shows we have had in a long time.
