1 PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S DECEMBER 12th 1 AESOP'S FABLES & "TOPICS" - Good. WILLIE ROLLS - (9 mins) A good novelty and did very well as an opener. His work is different from any of our American skating acts. PIETRO - (14 mins.) A big applause hit and had to take several extra bows. His music is mostly popular and he puts it across. McCONNELL SISTERS - (20 mins.) Everything in this act shows real class and it is one of a refined singing turns we have played. The girls have good voices and sing well together. The dressing and staging is of the highest order. BERT FITZGIBBON - (20 mins.) His usual "nut" comedy was a big laugh from start to finish and the musical touch by his Brother helps the act over nicely. EDDIE LEONARD - (27 mins.) While his act is much the same as the last time he showed here he never seems top lose his popularity with out audience. He was undoubtedly a big factor in drawing business and his act went over as big as it has ever done in this house. BERT & BETTY WHEELER - (23 mins) This was another big comedy punch and kept our audience in a riot of laughs. Their "nut" comedy did not suffer at all following Fitzgibbon and they registered solidly. AVON COMEDY FOUR - (25 mins.) This is still one of the big laughing hits we know of and with the two new members, the singing is even better than anything the Avon Four have ever had. As a result the act seemed to go bigger than ever and in the next to closing spot held the spot solid and fairly rocked them with applause. VAN & EMERSON - (5 mins.) A two man hand balancing turn that stands fair comparison with several others we have played and they did very well in the closing position. PATHE NEWS - (11 mins.) Good. GENERAL REMARKS - A great comedy bill with just enough class music to it to round it out as satisfactory entertainment for everyone. It also proved a strong pull in business and got a great start on Monday, with a big advance for the remainder of the week. CUTS BERT & BETTY WHEELER - The expression "My God" and addressing remarks to patrons.
