PROVIDENCE, R. I. E. F. ALBEE JANUARY 16, 1922 We have a very fine bill this week. One that gives satisfaction from the moment it begins until it ends. CHARLES LOVENBERG THE DANCING MCDONALDS - A youthful couple who do some very good, lively work and start the show off in great shape. 7 minutes full stage. RUSSELL & DEVITT - Two men in an acrobatic comedy act with a little talk and considerable eccentric dancing. Corcking good act. Made a big hit. 8 minutes in one. EARLE & SUNSHINE - Two Young women with an unusual skit showing methods of girls of past times and present day. Pleased the audience greatly 16 minutes full stage. SIDNEY & LANDFIELD - Young man at the piano with songs and stories who play a fairly good act. MEEHAN'S CANINES - It struck me that this act is not quite as satisfactory as when we had it on previous occasions. It doesn't seem to have the thrills and the life and the dogs are not as well taken care of as they used to be, looking somewhat soiled. A very good act but I question its being worth what we pay for it. 12 minutes full stage. ANNA CHANDLER - Assisted by Sidney Landfield. Miss Chandler did very well indeed. The audiences were pleased and she got a strong recall. 18 minutes in one. BEN WELCH - Mr. Welch got a tremendous ovation. The biggest I have ever heard in Providence upon his entrance, and his act was one big hit, a succession of laughs from beginning to end. The audience would not let him go until he had said a few words in his own personality. 25 minutes in one. KARYL NORMAN - Another big hit. His gowns this season are most beautiful, with songs well rendered and in every way he has a desirable act. 23 minutes full stage, close in one. THE AMARANTH SISTERs - Two young women in a succession of dances, some hand balancing and iron jaw work is done by two men who appear as pages. A hit in the closing position. 10 minutes full stage.
