PROVIDENCE E. F. ALBEE MARCH 27th, 1922 Considering the expense of the Gus Edwards' act and with that the low cost of the entire bill, I must say that the show is satisfactory, although some of the acts are not what I would have selected under different conditions. CHARLES LOVENBERG MARTIN & MOORE. Ring act with some good features and the act, as a whole, might be considered fairly good. 7 minutes full stage. CAHILL & ROMINE. One man black face the other italian. To my mind this is essentially a small time act although I must say that the audience received them with more favor than I think they were entitled to. 14 minutes in one. DAISY NELLIS. Miss Nellis is possibly the best pianist from a musical standpoint that we have in vaudeville and it pleases me to state that she was a bigger hit on this occassion than ever before when there was almost an insistent demand for her to extend her program beyond what she had arranged and the audience were applauding vociferously while the piano was being removed. 15 minutes in two can work in one. SANDY. Boy Scotch singer and imitator of various sounds. He gets by most particularly on his size and pleasant personality. 12 minutes in one. HARRIET MARLOTTE & CO. In a sketch "Wish and Wait". Good sketch, well played as a whole and well received by the audience. 16 minutes full stage. DEVOE & HOSFORD. Act of songs, piano playing and comedy. I don't remember when we have had a bigger hit by an act than was given us by these two men. The act should be grabbed and booked for this season and next before their salary gets up in the $600 class. 20 minutes in one. GUS EDWARDS REVUE Snappy act, pretty girls, attractive music and costumes in very good condition. Held the audience intact to the last and then they wanted more. 42 minutes full stage, long close in one. NOTE: This ends the vaudeville season until next September
