Merkell & Gay: 8 min, in "One" Good dancing particularly the acrobatic work of the man, Closed to a good hand, Wilfred Clark & Co. 14 min, in 3-1/2 Spec, His customary style of fast moving sketch. Got some good laughs and closed to a fair hand. Joe Darcey: 20 min in "One" Good routine of songs, much better then his talk. Pleased and closed to a good hand. The Sharrocks: 23 min in "One" Spec. Started off a little slow but worked fast and closed to a good hand. Emilie Lea & Co: 17 min, in "3" Spec. Good combination, the boy and girl are exceptionally good high-kickers and the pianist is very good. Closed to a nice hand. Sylvia Clark: 24 in, in "One" Held this spot nicely and closed to a good hand. Baron Arsenian & Frances Aldrich with Orchestra of 8 men. 16 min, F.S. Spec. This couple are very good ball-room dancers, and the orchestra is above the average. A difficult spot but they took four of five ligitimate curtains. Pathe News: Good. Cuts: Wilfred Clark & Co, Please eliminate business of "feeling" and "Slapping" girls on leg and be careful and not raise dress so high. Joe Darcey. Please eliminate "Don't smell him teach him" gag. Sylvia Clark. Please eliminate any reference to the number of people in the audience such as the expression "We could use them".
