Saving...
Providence, R. I. E. F. Albee September 19, 1922 This show is very weak and following two such corcking bills as we have had makes it rather unfortunate for us. ORCHESTRA 6 minutes. PICTURES 10 minutes. Aesop Fables and Topics of the Day. REKOMA. One man equilibrist hand balancer. Did not seem to work as smoothly as usual. Learned later that he drove over from New York which is an all night drive and he said he was tired. 6 minutes in special. Full stage. WILLIAMS & TAYLOR. "The Dancing Fools" colored team. Good, clean, fast dancing act. 10 minutes in one. FISHER & HURST. "In hats and things". Man and woman singing and talking. Disappointing act, lacks punch. 20 minutes special in one. Special in two, close in one. House olio. POWERS & WALLACE. In "Georgia On Broadway". Man and woman. Bigger hit then when here before. Good act, cleverly and artistically portrayed. Olio in one. 19 minutes. MISS LOIS BENNETT. Singing assisted by Phil Sheppard at the piano. Quiet, artistic act, although they did not seem to score today. 12 minutes in one. MRS. SIDNEY DREW & CO. In "Predestination" A domestic comedy. Mrs. Drew's company consists of a man and woman neither particularly strong. A mild comedy fairly well played. 16 minutes full stage. PINTO & BOYLE. Fair comedy act containing banjo playing, singing and some comedy. A hit with our audience. 12 minutes olio in one. TAN ARAKIS JAPS. A wonderful act consisting of foot balancing ladder work which is thrilling to say the least. PATHE NEWS. Cuts. Mrs. Sidney Drew. Please cut the word hell. Foster Lardner
