Boston, Mass., B.F. Keith's February 4th., 8 Pathe Pictures 14 min., O.K.. Shepherd & Ray:- 10 min. f.s.. Man and woman; cowboy costume doing routine of tricks with a number of "whips". There is a little comedy talk throughout and the girl sings one song. Made fair opening. Frank & Tobie:- 14 min. in 1 and 2. Open in one with a couple of dances then use piano in two. The girl has all the earmarks of becoming a very capable entertainer, but the act as a whole went only fair. Joe Jackson:- 13 min. f.s.. With practically the same material as on previous occasions, this well known pantomimist gave our show a start. Thos. Swift & Mary H. Kelley 18 min. in 1 and 2; spl. drop. This couple have a new act, and as a whole seemed to go better than on their previous visit. Robt. T. Haines:- 21 min. f.s. This is a wonderful sketch under present war conditions, and is very capably handled by Mr. Haines and his company. It was as big a hit as any sketch we have played in sometime. Orth & Cody:- 18 min. in 1. Mr. Frank Orth, formerly a member of the team of Macki and Orth, has a very delightful little "skit" which he put over for a hit. Elsie Janis:- 24 min. f.s. Miss Janis received a very wonderful reception and went over big being forced to make a speech after receiving a number of curtains. Kane Bros:- 8 min. f.s. This "perch" act was above the average and held its spot well. Boston, Mass., Boston February 4, '18. Frawley & West:- 8 min. f.s. Man and woman in very good trapeze act. Opened the show well. Regan & Renard:- 12 min. in 1; spl. 2 men in singing and talking offering. Went over much better than the average No. 2. act. Geo. Rowland & Co. in "The Vaccuum Cleaner" 16 min. f.s.. This is the first time this well known vaudeville act has played Boston at these prices. Went very big. Monarch Comedy Four 14 min. in 1. Very good comedy quartette Went over to a big hand. Geo. Felix and Dawson Girls:- 13 min. f.s. This act, although following two good comedy acts, closed our show in good shape. Got plenty of laughs and a good hand.
