PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S MARCH 4, 8 PATHE. 14 min. Some very good war pictures featured. OLLIE YOUNG & APRIL. 11 min. Their novel soap-bubble tricks were very well received and the act furnished a good opener. LLOYD & WELLS. 9 min. A fairly good eccentric dancing duo. They have a novel opening with a song, using a special drop and follow with some very good stepping. Finished to a good hand. KIMBERLY & ARNOLD. 19 min. A very good comedy skit by a man and woman, the latter doing the comedy with splendid results. They have a lot of good material, some of which was used in their former offering, but they have a new idea for an opening and the act was a big applause hit. MAUD EARL & CO. 25 min. "The Vocal Verdict." A real novelty in introducing a high-class singing act. A unique idea has been carried out with pretty stage setting and costume effects. Miss Earl sings four numbers, disclosing a pleasing voice and is assisted by two men. Her numbers were well received and the act finished to a good hand. KENNEY & NOBODY. 18 min. This was one of the biggest applause hits of the bill. The blackface comedian has a fine lot of talk and handles it for good laughs. His comedy song finish brought him three extra encores. HELEN GLEASON & CO. "The Submarine Attack." 14 min. One of the most novel comedy acts in vaudeville played by a man and woman. Both are clever artists and handle their lines and situations splendidly. The sketch kept the audience amused and there is a surprise finish that closed the act amid a roar of laughter and applause. This is an A1 comedy sketch. LITTLE BILLY. 15 min. This was his first time here in several years and he scored a big applause hit with songs and dances. He also introduced a recitation that was well liked and closed to a liberal hand. BLANCHE RING. 19 min. After an absence of over three years, this popular musical comedy star was given a warm welcome and each of her several songs was liberally rewarded. She has one Irish number and a war ballad which brought excellent results. Miss Ring made an attractive appearance and was assisted at the piano by Willie White. GIURAN & NEWELL. 11 min. "A Chinese Circus." This act has a letter from Mr. Albee saying that they shall never be asked to open or close a show. They agreed to do it this week under special conditions and held the spot in splendid shape. The boys open with some good dancing in evening clothes and change to Chinese costume for their finish on triple bars. Closed strong. GENERAL REMARKS. With a very hard audience in front, this show did not get all that was coming to it Monday afternoon. It is a well-balanced bill with plenty of novelty, color and singing, with a couple of good comedy hits and under ordinary conditions should prove thoroughly satisfactory. CUT KIMBERLY & ARNOLD: Line "We'll go to Russia."
