PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S April 8, 8 PATHE. 18 min. A good lot of pictures, featuring some very good war scenes. BELL & EVA. 6 min. Man and woman on trampolin mat with a fairly good routine of tricks. A good opener. HORN & FERRIS. 13 min. Straight singing turn by two men in evening dress. One of the two sings soprano. Good voices with high class selections and were well received. LEIPZIG. 18 min. His routine of card tricks proved just as interesting and entertaining as they are mystifying. His offering went well and finished strong. LOUISE DRESSER. 18 min. She was cordially received on her first time here in several years. Sang several songs and told a couple of little stories, all of which were well received. She also made a speech for the Liberty Bond sale and went among the audience soliciting subscriptions. She registered solidly. George Gershwin assists at the piano. THOMAS SWIFT & MARRY H. KELLEY. 22 min. in "$3,000." A very good skit with a novelty opening and closing. Bright dialogue and a couple of songs are used. Cleverly played and got a big share of laughs. Was one of the big hits of the bill. DAVID SAPIRSTEIN. 9 min. A first class act for music lovers. He is a very clever pianist and his selections are all high class. Each number won applause and he finished to a big hand. JOHN B. HYMER & CO. 36 min. "Tom Walker in Dixie." Second time for this sketch here and it was well received. Got plenty of laughs and finished to a big hand. It is a bit long, but very well played and with the special settings, held interest throughout. LA BERNICIA & AESTHETIC DANCERS. 17 min. Placed to close the show, this act did not get all that was coming to it, but did very well despite the handicap. Five numbers are given, with two special solo numbers by La Bernicia and all were well done. Pretty staging and dressing helps the act make a fine appearance. Finished to a good hand. ESPE & DUTTON. 13 min. These two boys were added to the bill for the evening show in place of Santos & Hays, who failed to appear owing to illness. The new act gave the show a great start. They do a little of everything and were a big hit. GENERAL REMARKS. The addition of an act after the matinee and a little shifting of the bill made this a corking good show from start to finish. The new running order was- A Orchestra B Pathe Pictures C Espe & Dutton D Horn & Ferris E La Bernicia F Thomas Swift & Co. G David Sapirstein H Leipzig I Louise Dresser J John Hymer & Co. K Bell & Eva L Exit March
