Boston, Mass., B. F. Keith's June 17th., '18. Dancing La Vars 11 min., f.s., spl. This well known dancing act have added a very pretty "cyke" to their stage setting and have a routine of bright dances. Went well. Tilyou & Ward 9 min. in 1. Two men in "Rube" character doing an acrobatic dancing act. Went very good in this spot. Six Kirksmith Sisters 17 min. f.s.. These girls have an excellent musical act and went very good. Chris Richards 11 min. in 1. Mr. Richards had a difficult spot doing about the same material as Tilyou & Ward, but went well considering. Paul Decker 25 min., f.s., spl. This sketch does not get going till it is about half over. Closed to a fair hand. Geo. Mac Farlane. 12 min., in 1. Received a fair reception but his program is not as good as on previous visits. Went fair. Arnaut Bros. 17 min., f.s., These boys are doing the same act as on previous visits, but went over very good. Mollie King. 14 min. in 1. Miss King received a reception and made good with her songs and immitations. Went well. Comment:- While the joint headliners got over, it does seem that high priced entertainers should be able to hold an audience for more than from 12 to 14 minutes, or at least get enough good material to enable them to do so. Here's a show with nine acts giving only two hours and four min.; average about 13-3/4 minutes. per act. Pretty soft. Cuts;- Paul Decker;- Please eliminate the word "thirtysecondDegree" in describing souse.
