PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S NOVEMBER 25 8 PATHE PICTURES - 16 Mins. Included some very good war pictures. VANCELLOS - 8 mins. Very showy foot juggling act. The man does a clever lot of stunts and the woman carried as an assistant helps the appearance of the act with three changes of pretty costumes. A good opener. "CROSBY'S CORNERS" - 26 mins. An imitation of "Rubeville" by the same producer. Contains a good grass band and the music and singing do a lot to hold the act up. The comedy is not there and got few laughs. Where "Rubeville" has not been seen this act will do much better than it did here. The former production scored a knock-out hit every time shown by us and entirely took the edge off "Crosby's Corners". The instrumental music helped considerably near the finish and enabled the act to close to a good hand. LEW HAWKINS - 16 min. One of the few remaining members of the old black face school and was very well received. He is using a lot of his old stuff along with some new bits and a couple of songs. 'HANDS ACROSS THE SEA" - 33 mins. A new flash production in the dancing class, but too long getting to the point of its value. It drags badly during the first two scenes and it is not until the Irish numbers bring a variety of songs and dances that the act picks up the necessary speed. From this on it has plenty of action, color and shows its worth and after starting very slowly picked up nicely toward the finish and closed to a strong hand with the International dance number. DOROTHY BRENNER - 14 min. One of the real big hits of the show with her songs. She is a cute little girl, has some good numbers, plenty of personality and makes every song a hit. MRS. GENE HUGHES & COMPANY - 21 mins. She has another sure success in her new sketch, called, "When He Comes Back." It is timely, splendidly played and has a sentimental touch mingled with plenty of good comedy lines. It is sure to strike the popular fancy since the closing of the war. Was very well received here and will occasion favorable comment outside. ELINORE & WILLIAMS - 20 mins. Their character comedy was just as big a laugh as ever. They have some new talk mixed in with some of their old stuff and it was all good. Mr. Williams does a piano number and after a comedy song duet they closed strong with some more talk. THE DUTTONS - 8 mins. One of the prettiest riding acts in vaudeville. Attractively staged and costumed and the trio have a routine of tricks that are well handled and make a big flash. A very good closing act for this show. GENERAL REMARKS - A heavy bill and dragged considerably on the first show but with the speed it will pick up when running smoothly it will make a first rate bill for the holiday week. It has plenty of color and went very well with a big house at the opening matinee.
