PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S DECEMBER 23 8. AMERICAN RED CROSS PICTURES - 10 mins. This week's series entitled, "Kiddies Of No Man's Land" were very interesting. Alf. W. LOYAL'S DOGS - 10 mins. This act has not been changed since it played here last but it is always a sure-fire and furnished a very good opener. Walter CLINTON & Julia ROONEY - (15 mins.) A singing and dancing act by a young fellow and girl. Plenty of speed. Mix in some talk with their singing and dancing and got some laughs with their nut comedy. Finished to a good hand. WILLIAM EBS - 17 mins. A very good novelty. The impersonation of a dummy by a midget injects both novelty and comedy into the act. Finished to a good hand. ARNOLD & ALLMAN - 20 mins. A distinct novelty in the line of comedy singing and talking. The girl handles the comedy and they have a corking good line of chatter which gives them a splendid start. After a couple of songs they finished with some nut comedy, the girl keeping the laughs going through the clever handling of the material and they finished strong. HARRY WATSON, Jr. - 21 mins. A riot of laughs with two travesty bits taken from the musical review, "Odds and Ends". He is assisted by two men and two women, but he carried the comedy almost entirely along and had the house rocking with laughter from start to finish. This is his first appearance in vaudeville in a long time and it is the funniest act he has ever had. Mlle. NITTA-JO - 18 mins. One of the most artistic acts ever presented on our stage by a foreigner, and a tremendous hit. She used a mixture of French and American songs, disclosing a voice of rare quality and gave such an artistic rendition that the audience refused to permit her to leave the stage until she had responded with an extra number. BESSIE CLAYTON and THE CANSINOS - 30 mins. After playing all the other dancing acts in vaudeville this new act of Miss Clayton's easily surpassed anything we have shown in the past. The principal repeated the success she has scored on previous visits and there are enough dancing features in addition to Miss Clayton's to provide several acts. The Cansinos were an especially big hit and the act went over with tremendous results. It is here for two weeks. WILLIAMS & WOLFUS - 25 mins. A great laughing hit in the next to closing spot and following a bit holiday bill. Williams has a lot of new nut comedy stuff that fairly convulsed the audience and he was forced to respond with a little speech of thanks. BIRDS OF A FEATHER - 6 mins. One of the prettiest wire acts we have ever played. The principals Bert Ford and Pauline Price are dressed as birds and they have a very prettily worked-out little story during which they display a very clever routine of wire tricks. GENERAL REMARKS - One of the best holiday week bills we have ever had. There are several big features and with Bessie Clayton as a headliner in the best dancing act in vaudeville, it is sure to be a big winner all week. CUTS Clinton & Rooney - Use of words "Devil" "Son of a Gun" William Ebs - "I Treat 'Em All Alike" "I Look Innocent From the outside" "Do Something for your country". Arnold & Allman - Use of expressions "Devil" "Would to God" Williams & Wolfus - Use of the word "Influenza".
