PROVIDENCE, R. I. B. F. KEITH'S JANUARY 27th, 9 We have an exceptionally fine playing bill this week. Reading of the names would probably indicate an ordinary bill outside of a couple of acts, but that proves to not be the case, although the acts are cheap or medium price, everyone made good from the beginning to the end of the show. I look for an exceptionally good week's business. CHAS. LOVENBERG. EL CLEVE: Scotch Xylophonist, started the show off in great style and made an unqualified hit. 13 min. in one. ESPE & DUTTON: Comedy variety act, the feature of which is some heavy weight juggling. A very good turn for this spot and which was well appreciated. 12 min. open and close in one. EMME STEPHENS: Singer of popular songs. Miss Stephens has a nice voice, makes a good appearance and has a pleasant personality. Was very well liked. 13 min. in one. EDDIE HERRON & CO: In a comedy sketch called "The Travelling Man". This is a very unique sketch, full of laughs, well played by Mr. Herron and ably assisted by two women. Worth while playing anywhere. 20 min. full stage. FRED ALLEN: Nut comedian with a new twist to his work and who had the audience in screams for the 17 minutes he was on the stage. 17 min. in one. BESSIE CLAYTON & CO: The last word on dancing act. I wish I had the act for two weeks. 32 min. full stage. WILLIAMS & WOLFUS: Well known comedy piano act that repeated its former success. 20 min in one. THE CLOWN SEAL: Good act of its kind and filled this spot acceptably. 15 min. full stage. MOTION PICTURES: O. K.
