BOSTON KEITH'S Apr. 14, 9 Kinograms:- Interesting. Catherine Powell:- 14 min. f.s. Spec. This girl seems to get better on each visit here. Made a nice opener. Meredith & Snoozer:- 16 min. in 1. Trained bull dog and a couple of cats with man and woman as trainers. Interesting and seemed to please. Wright & Dietrich:- 19 min. 2 1/2. These well known singers were well received, and have a program consisting mostly of war numbers. Went well. Val & Ernie Stanton:- 15 min. in 1. These boys are good entertainers and went over well in this spot. Edmond Hayes:- 19 min. in 3 Spec. Mr. Hayes, assisted by Richard Hutchins, has a novel sketch well acted, but those who know him best naturally expect something in the comedy line. Went well. Lander Bros.:-20 min. in 1. This act was a big laugh from start to finish, closing to a good hand. Gus Edwards & Co.:- 28 min. in 1, and f.s. Edwards has a nicely arranged program of songs, and is capably assisted by Vincent O'Donnell, Alice Furness, and Beatrix Curtis. Got a nice reception and went over very well. Julius Tannen:- 22 min. in 1. Tannen has some fine material which he handles in his own clever way, getting lots of laughs, and closing to a good hand. Maria Lo:- 8 min. f.s. Spec. This act closed to about half the house, probably on account of a late show. CUTS: Julius Tannen: Will you please eliminate the "influenza" routine, and oblige. Meredith & Snoozer: Please eliminate the portion of your act where the dog drags the cat on and off stage, as we are having considerable trouble here now in regard to animal acts, and I am sure this will start something. Val & Ernie Stanton: Please eliminate reference to "jew cop". Your eight legs story was told last week. Gus Edwards: Please eliminate reference to the "Golden Rooster" and "shimmy" suggestion by the boy.
