BOSTON SHOW WEEK JUNE 27, '10. R.G. Larsen. (Monday afternoon.) CLAUDE M. ROODE. 9 minutes f.s. This is a very good opening act. Went well here this afternoon. His feats are both varied and clever. CROSS & JOSEPHINE. 16 minutes in two. This combination held this spot in good shape this afternoon. They got into it very much quicker than I anticipated from some of the reports, and had a good laughing finish. JAMES HORNE & COMPANY IN "An AWFUL FIX." 24 minutes in f.s. Jas. Horne is playing one of his old sketches. He has two local favorites in the cast. He has changed the sketch somewhat and certainly has not improved it any. CAPTAIN FRITZ DUQUESNE. 25 minutes in one. Captain Duquesne is the author of the articles in Hampton's magazine, "Hunting Ahead of Roosevelt in Africa." He advocated the hippopotamus as food for Americans. We got considerable publicity out of it and the act to-day consisted of moving pictures showing wold game in Africa. Some of the pictures are the best we have ever seen in the theatre. Duquesne has a rather interesting personality, and is a good talker. This afternoon made quite an impression, getting a big hand at the close. CONROY, LEMAIRE & COMPANY IN "KING FOR A NIGHT." 20 minutes f.s. Open in one. This well known act went very well this afternoon. Got lots of laughs. BIG CITY FOUR. 18 minutes in one. One of the best quartettes in vaudeville and a hit always. KAUFMANN TROUPE OF BICYCLISTS. 11 minutes f.s. Four girls and two men. A most attractive appearing lot and doing good quick work that brought applause at every turn. JACK HAZZARD. 15 minutes in one. Hazzard is telling most of old stories, but as usual it is the way he tells them that gets him by in great shape. MALLIA & BART. 12 minutes f.s. This is a novelty comedy acrobatic act that would be much better on an early part of the bill. However, to-day it held the audience and got good laughs through-out. CUTS;- Jas. Horne - cut "Hell." Conroy, Lemaire Co. - cut "damn."
