BOSTON SHOW JULY 11, 1910. R.G. Larsen. DE DIO'S CIRCUS. 11 minutes f.s. This is just an ordinary animal act. Gets by for an opener in warm weather. JOSEPHINE JOY. 14 minutes in l. Sings 3 or 4 songs, makes 3 changes of costume. Has a fair small voice and gets by in very good shape. "BASEBALLITIS." 18 minutes f.s. It may have been the weather, but this act went rather slow this afternoon and certainly did not make as favorable an impression as I should judge it did in other places. DOUGLAS AND THE MOSCROP SISTERS. 13 minutes in l. An act that averages up well with these "one man and two" acts, and has considerable stuff that is new to recommend it. MRS. JOHN COLBY ABBOTT PRESENTING "LA GRANDE PANDORE." 20 minutes f.s. This is in a measure a local feature and for that reason especially valuable to us. La Grande Pandore is a huge doll on which are places dresses of the time of Louis XIVth, with a very interesting talk. It has been exhibited in the London and Paris drawing rooms, and is v[upside down 'e']ry much of a departure in vaudeville. This afternoon it went first rate, each of the changes of costume getting a good hand. In fact, it received much better than we had hoped for. [WORK?] AND [OVER?]. 6 minutes in one of hot weather acrobatics. About as fast as anyone could expect. GILLETTE AND MACFARLAND. 16 minutes f.s. This couple now has a blackface servant in the act supposed to furnish a little comedy, but he had hard work getting it over to-day. The voices of these people will get then by anywher[upside down 'e'], but there is more snap in the singing number in one. BROWN AND AYER. 22 minutes in l. Have developed wonderfully since they first appeared here and stirred things up to-day in good shape. BOBBY PANDUR AND BROTHER. 15 minutes f.s. Of all the strong men acts this one is now probably the best dressed. Made a good closing feature to-day.
