REPORT OF COLONIAL, LAWRENCE, WEEK OF Oct. 24, 1910. Laypo and Benjamin - comedy acrobats. Made up as Jew and straight man, consists of tumbling and falls with tables mostly. Made a fair opening act. [8] min. full stage. Leon Rogee - musical humorist. Impersonator of musical instruments and whistling. Whistling was very good, set was received fairly well. 11 min. in one. Perkins Lappen Co - dramatic sketch. Playlet with three men, an interesting story. Went good. 15 min. full stage. Owing to having five full stage acts I put my pictures in this spot, with one of the latest films, "The Cowboy's Mother-in-law." which was received very well. Alexandorff Troupe - Russian singers and dancers, some very fast dancing which went very good. Will close show with them tonight and put Reynard in their place. 10 min. full stage. Mamie Harnish - songs and stories. A good line of stuff, well delivered and went very good. 13 min. in one. Russell and Smith's Minstrels - five people in a minstrel setting, blackface, songs, jokes and parodies, went big. 31 min. in two. Ed. Reynard - ventriloquist, presenting the rural comedy "A Morning in Hicksville". Reynard had a very hard place here but went very big. The act is very good, away from any other ventriloquial act we have ever played. I am placing him up fifth on the bill tonight and expect that it will go a great deal better. 16 min. full stage. Critic.
