REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW FOR WEEK OF OCTOBER 31, 1910. W. W. PROSSER. TOM JACK TRIO: Man and two women in a novelty musical act. The numbers played on various instruments were well received. Although not a big hit the act went very well and made a very good opener. Garden in 3, 13 min. KELLY & WILDER: A very capable paid of singers who scored individually and together. Their songs were all well received, giving them a strong finish and several bows. 13 minutes, olio in 1. HENRY HODGE & CO.: Comedy Sketch, "Bill Blithers, Bachelor". This act was a big laugh all the way through. The individual work of Hodge is excellent. The supporting company was ebtirely satisfactory. Get hearty laughs all the way through and a strong finish. Light Center Door Fancy in 3, 22 min. JARROW: Comedy Magician, who performs a number of tricks very cleverly and who has a running fire of comedy comment that brought forth a lot of laughs. Proved to be a thorough entertainer and held the interest without any trouble. 23 minutes, olio in 1. GASTON & D'ARMOND: "Nifty Nonsense"- a potpourri of singing and comedy that scored very well at some points and moderately well at others. All in all the act was thoroughly satisfactory and seemed to meet with approval throughout. Not a big hit, but O. K. 20 minutes, C. D. F., close in 1. THE KRATONS: A crackerjack hoop rolling act in which all the work is presented very rapidly and with unusually good showmanship. Applause throughout and strong finish. 12 minutes, special in 4. BEN WELCH: This well known performer made a distinct hit during the greater part of his act, although he didn't finish as strong as I looked for. I think, however, that this was due to the fact that the show is unusually long, and the people were getting a little tired. We'll but out enough time to remedy this and there is no question but that Welch will be the laughing hit of the bill, in fact he was to-day. 23 min., street in 1. DAN BURKE & HIS GIRLS: The work of Burke and Miss Moller scored moderately well and the girls got by in good shape. The act looks very good from the front and everybody in it worked hard. Not a riot, but very pleasing and apparently well liked. A moderately strong finish. Special set in 5, 16 min. MOTION PICTURES: O. K.
