Report of PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of November 28, 1910. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. The show as a whole played very well; several of the acts scoring decided hits. ZANORA & LIBBY A very good opening act. One of the men doing some bicycle stunts that I have never seen done before. 8 Min. F. S. VERONA VERDI & BRO. Well-known little act that pleased as it always does. 12 Min. in One. ROBT. H. HODGE & CO. This act did not do as well as I had hoped for and was moved up to this position because he failed to score in a more difficult spot. 21 Min. F. S. DAVE FERGUSON This is a likely young fellow with a fairly good monologue which in spots is very good indeed. His recital of the "Charge of the Light Brigade," as given by an effeminate young man, was decided funny. 15 Min. in One. JAMES YOUNG Studies in Shakespear. I was a little fearful that this act might not go, but was most agreeably disappointed. It would not be too much to say that he made a hit. His act is splendidedly mounted, carrying several special drops and he was given good applause all through and at the finish. 16 Min. in Two. HARRY FOX and the MILLERSHOP SISTERS While these people did very well, they did not score the tremendous hit that has been credited to them in other cities. I imagine they will go better with the night audience. 22 Min. in One. HAVILAND & THORNTON This is a corking good vaudeville act with a lot of bright sayings and some original songs all well presented. At the opening performance they were on much earlier and moved to this spot because of their hit. 21 Min. F. S. Close in One. GUS EDWARDS and his SONG REVUE I don't know when an act has received as much applause in this house as was given this one this afternoon. Even at the finish, when the act was practically done and closing the show, where the people usually walk out, they remained in their seats and demanded more. I feel sure that this is going to be a "money-getter" for us. On Wednesday Mr. Edwards and his company are going out in automobiles and sing on the street and collect money for the Providence Poor Children's Christmas. I want to say here that Mr. Edwards did not need a second asking to lend himself to the scheme, entering into it with a cheerful spirit. The act runs 40 Min. opening about 5 Min. in One, closing F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
