Report of PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of January 23, 1911. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. The show this week may be classed as fair. In spots it is extremely good and others quite disappointing. GINGRAS Alleged heavy weight juggler. A very cheap looking and faky act, put in to replace Charbino Bros. Not good for anything better than opening the show. 12 Min. F. S. DORA RONCA Miss Ronca seems to have gone backwards in her work and failed to arouse any enthusiasm whatever today. 10 Min. in One. BAYONNE WHIPPLE & CO. In a comedy sketch, which while it made a big hit in Pawtucket, failed to score here today. 23 Min. F. S. DAGWELL SISTERS Well-known act which pleased moderately well. 12 Min. in One. ZERTHO This man is giving us probably the most attractive dog act that we ever had. To say that he made a big hit, would be putting it mildly. An act that should draw money in any house. 23 Min. F. S. HOPKINS, AXTELL & CO. in "Travel Troubles." Here's a great idea gone wrong for want of good presentation. The people are far from good and the sketch itself could be made much better with the foundation that they have. As it is, I would call it fairly good. 18 Min. Open and Close in One. ANDREW MACK To say that he scored a hit would be putting it very mildly. He had the audience with him every moment he was on the stage and best of all, we have the biggest advance sale we have had this season. 23 Min. in Two. PATSY DOYLE Patsy had a pretty hard spot here but he held it with perfect satisfaction. 13 Min. in One. INTERNATIONAL POLO TEAM This is quite a novelty and the audience were thoroughly interested in it all through. It is an act that will be talked about and I think will draw. This afternoon they did 12 Min. It hardly seemed 5. F. S. DAYLIGHT MOTION PICTURES Usual good results.
