18 18 B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Week of March 25th, 1913 Cleveland, Ohio BERT MELROSE - - 10 minutes in 4. Bare stage, using four of his own tables. A splendid opening. (Cincinnati) MURIEL & FRANCIS - - "Just Two Girls". 18 minutes in oine. This team is clever. They do little but sing. Could hold a better spot. (Toledo) THE KINETOPHONE - Subjects "Dick, the Highwayman" and "The Politician" About 12 minutes. These are the best subjects we have had. OWEN McGIVENEY - Protean act "Bill Sikes". Special interior set in 3. 21 minutes. McGiveney assumes five characters and is a very clever actor. His changes are surprisingly quick. A good act. (New York) PATHE WEEKLY - - Because of the time required to strike McGiveney's set, and set for Eva Taylor & Company, it was necessary to fill this time, about 8 minutes. EVA TAYLOR & CO - - "After the Wedding". C.D.F. in 2. A comedy sketch with two men and two women. There are a good many laughs in the piece, but it is carried to extreme in places. (Wilkesbarre) FROSINI - "Musical Genius". 15 minutes in one. Same Frosini, same accordion, and same hit. He scored heavily at both performances. (open) KATHRYN KIDDER & COMPANY - - "The Washerwoman Duchess". 29 minutes, special set. A company of three. A well written, well acted sketch with an equal amount of comedy and dramatic lines. The stage settings are elaborate, and the entire sketch will be found a pleasing departure from the ordinary run of such material. Was warmly received, and is capable of holding its title of "headliner". JULIUS TANNEN - - "Chatterbox". 13 minutes in one. A first class monologist with a host of good material which he administers in a delightful homeopathis doses, went big at both shows. (Cincinnati) THREE EMERSONS - - " Fun in a Swimming Pool" Strong act, special set in 4, working about 110 minutes. This trio of men do some very unusual stunts. went big. A hit. (Syracuse)
