Criticism B.F. Keith's Union Square Theatre week of March 31 st. Ack Dakota Trio Two women and a man in a sharp shooting exhibition. Quite expert with the rifle and an act that secures scattered applause through-out. Opens in the show in splendid manner. Ten minutes, full stage. Dooley and Parker These boys failed to make the impression here as reported from other houses, as their material is not right, and the impersonation only fair. I doubt very much a change in position could benefit the act. Thirteen minutes in one. Francis Yates Giving us quite a novelty as a female impersonator. He makes four changes, and has a great double voice, in fact he has it over Eltinge in that respect. His changes are made in back of an electric lighted screen, which gives the audience an inkling of the changes in silhoutte form. Brought the first real applause of the day. This act is a novelty and can be filled as a second feature. Sixteen minutes, opens and closes in one. Borani and Nevaro With "Scotty" Very novel, original and interesting, with plenty of laughs and a "find" at the price. The Dog is a wonder. Thirteen minutes in one. Cathrine Countiss and Company, which consists of a man, two women and a little boy, presenting for the first time a one-act playlet, called, "The Birth-day Present" an interesting story of everyday life and one that holds the audience. The company is excellent, particularly the boy, who is a great little actor. Can go the rounds as a headliner, if a permit can be secured. Twenty-one minutes, full stage.
