48 B. F KEiTH'S HIPPODROME Week of April 21st, 1913 Cleveland, Ohio THE BRADSHAW BROTHERS - - Comedy Contortionists, 9 minutes, special drop in 2. A silent team of very limber men. Fair opening act (New Haven) REISNER & GORES - - 18 minutes, special drop in one. Talking and dancing. Lagged at the afternoon show, but went over big in the evening. (Pittsburg) THE KINETOPHONE - - Dob Serving the Writ" and "The Musical Blacksmiths". 17 minutes, conversation distinct in both subjects which were appreciated. HOWARD - - Ventriloquist in a skit "At the Doctors". 26 minutes, open C.D.F., close in one. A cleverly offered number. Howard employs a boy dressed as an usher to work in the audience. The act is one of the best of its kind we have had. (New York) ALLAN DINEHART & ANN HERITAGE - - Sketch "Just Half Way". 23 minutes C.D.F. A well written sketch, well acted. Clever comedy, properly balanced with pathos. The audience was enthusiastic. (Open) ELPHYE SNOWDEN & EARL BENHAM - - Singing and dancing. 12 minutes, with special plush drop. A team lacking all the essentials of a big time act. Can't sing, only fairly well dressed, mediocre dancers without personality. The big plush drop is the best thing in the act. (Louisville) TAYLOR GRANVILLE & LAURA PIERPONT - - in "The System". 39 minutes, special in 3 scenes. A very satisfying playlet with 14 people. A story of New York police life, which is human and appealing and will be found to grip the audience. A Better act than "The Romance of the Underworld", or "The Hold-up". (Milwaukee) CHRIS RICHARDS - - "The Eccentric English Chap". 10 minutes of steady comedy, the best in its line we have seen this seen. Richards can travel in fast company and will undoubtedly make good on any spot. He is a trickster contortionist, dancer, comedian and a few other things which go to make up an unusual act. (Atlanta) ZERTHO'S DOGS - - 19 minutes, special in 4. This man has collected half a hundred dogs which do nothing much out of the ordinary. The act would be more acceptable if cut about seven minutes. (Cincinnati)
