B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - WEEK MAY 12, 1913. (R. G. Larsen.) THOMAS A. EDISON KINETOPHONE. 14 minutes in one. Special sheet. "Nursery Favorites" and "Mayor Gaynor and Cabinet." The last subject went particularly well. FRANK PARISH. 7 minutes in two. Garden. (can work all in one, if necessary.) Barrel jumping with a little acrobatic dancing. A good novelty act of its kind that opened the show in excellent shape. BEAU BRUMMEL TRIO. 15 minutes in one. Garden drop. Three young men singing popular songs, who filled this spot very acceptably. LEROY and LYTTON in "Hogan of the Hansom." 20 minutes f.s. C.D.F. A comedy sketch by George M. Cohan written around a case of mistaken identity. A lady mistakes a cabdriver for a matinee idol she expects to entertain at luncheon. Leroy plays the cab-driver, "Hogan," and got laughs all through with his rough-and-ready comedy. Closed well. NESTOR and BERGMSN. 11 minutes in one. Street. Two men in a talking act with one song. Got quite a few laughs and closed well with their novel subway entrance stunt. OWEN MCGIVENEY. 23 minutes f.s. Special set. "Bill Sykes." Unquestionably the greatest protea artist we have ever played. His changes are made with incredible rapidity, many of them being greeted with applause, and he held the rapt attention of the audience every minute. Closed very big at both performances. In fact, McGiveney was compelled to make a little speech to-night. ALEXANDER and SCOTT. 14 minutes in one. Olio drop. I regret to say that this team seem to have gone back. They failed to make much of an impression until the unmasking of the female impersonator at the finish. LEO CARRILLO. 20 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Has a couple of new stories and held this hard spot in excellent shape, closing strong. "NEPTUNE'S GARDEN OF LIVING STATUES." 19 minutes f.s. Special set. Second week. Held the audience to the finish, although closing the show. We find the act causing much speculation, and there is no question about its drawing business.
