CRITICISM of B.F. KEITH'S UNION SQUARE THEATRE WEEK OF MAY 26TH. CAROLS CAESARO Very novel juggling and strong act, juggling cannon balls on his head, balancing an air-ship with two men in it while revolving, and finishing with a heavy contrivance called the "Human Gyroscope", containing a man, which he balances and revolves at a terrific speed. A splendid balancing feature. Eleven minutes full stage. GRACE WILSON I understand this young lady has improved greatly since her recent appearance uptown. She makes a good appearance and has a pleasing voice. Her songs are good and get over in good shape. She is fully capable of holding down a more important position. Seventeen minutes in one. CHAS. H. O'DONNELL and Company, (of two men and two women) in a one-act comedy drama called "Flashlight Cragin", a story of New York crook life, very interesting, and one that holds the audience. Contains many good laughs and is very well presented. The company is excellent. Brought the first round of applause. Eighteen minutes, full stage. TURNER TWINS AND PAT BAKER Songs and dances. Pat Baker is a good looking young lady, with a pleasing and very light soprano voice, and is not strong enough to carry the act before the children get on. The youngsters are about six years of age, and on account of the Gerry Society are only able to talk their lines. They get by on the novelty and size of the kids. With another woman and properly staged, the act would be a headliner. Seventeen minutes in one. PRINCE FLORA I really think this monk or chimpanzee is the best we ever had. He is not ferocious nor does he make the women nervous. He goes through his performance without an error, doing such stunts as drinking, smoking, answering the phone, playing pool, disrobing, riding bicycles, pumping the tires and riding a high velocipede standing on his feet. A great act and a novelty. Ten minutes, full stage. GRANT GARDNER Blackface comedian. His routine consists of piano playing, some bright patter, cornet solos and bell ringing. He gets quite a number of laughs and is strongly applauded for his instrumental work. Fifteen minutes in one. THE HUMAN ORGAN Nine men and a woman. Open in full stage, showing a large prop organ, with the heads popping up responding to the various notes Very novel and going big at every performance. Seventeen minutes, full stage, close in one for about four minutes. FIXING THE FURNACE Presented by George Roland and Company. A splendid comedy full of laughs, closing the show in great shape. Fifteen minutes, full stage. TALKIES "Bonny Scotland" "Dutch Courage
