103 CRITICISM OF B.F.KEITH'S UNION SQUARE THEATRE WEEK OF JULY 5TH(ENDING) MUSICAL ALVINOS Man and woman. Piano and banjo selections. Very neat and novel. Worthy of a more important position. Eleven minutes in one. THOS. POTTER DUNN Mr.Dunn objected to his position and refused to go on. MISS MAXINE And five colored boys and a girl, in a fast singing and dancing act. Very good. Fourteen minutes in one. MISS GLOVER [Illegible] "A NIGHT AT THEOPERA" With John Lorenz a tenor,Miss Frances Lloyd, soprano and seventeen musicians. The principals are impossible. the musical program is fairly good. Rather crude. Twenty four minutes, full stage. LORENZE & GALLAGHER The new combination is Jack Lorenze of Cook and Lorenze, and Gallagher of Gallagher and Hall. The act is on the Cook and Lorenze order, containing eccentric dancing, piano playing, and patter. Rather crude, needs work. Ten minutes in one. JOHN D PERSIA AND COMPANY Presenting the one-act dramatic playlet "A Close Call" A good theme, well told with an occasional laugh. Good. Nineteen minutes, full stage. Armstrong and Ford Applause and laughing hit of the show. Eighteen minutes in one. PAUL GORDON AND AME-RICA Novel cycling act that held them and received a rousing hand. Twelve minutes, full stage.
