B.F. Keith's Union Square Theatre Week of July 14th, 1913 CAVANA DUO Man and a woman, presenting a novel act, consisting of harp solos, singing, dancing and a few stunts of the slack wire, with quite a lot of comedy. A good opening number for any bill. Twelve minutes, can work in two or full stage. MOSS AND FRYE Two colored men, with a lot of bright patter, pretty fair voices and manage to get their songs over. Outside of New York presume they could hold their own in an early place. Seventeen minutes in one. "TEMPTATION" A novel idea that is going over big at every performance. The theme is "A sculptor has created a statue of a beautiful woman. He falls in love with the statue and the Gods answer his prayer to endow it with life. By a clever light effect the white statue seems to turn into a living woman. She tells the sculptor that she came to bring him joy to his life, but that if he kisses her she will become a statue again. She dances to show her joy at living and he, enraptured, kisses her. Her dance changes to one of despair and, as she resumes her place on the pedestal, the light again turns her back to statue. The sculptor heartbroken, throws the statue to the floor where it is broken into a dozen pieces. Miss Madaline Harris, who is very pretty and shapely, is the statue and is assisted by Ernest Evans, a clever pianist. The act is drawing money and if the money consideration is within the limit, they should have booking. Sixteen minutes, full stage. WARD and CURRAN Presenting "The Stagedoor Tender" and going as big as ever. Twenty-eight minutes in one.
