I., Report on acts playing The Sceni o Temple,week of July 28,1913. Show seen Monday matinee and evening by C.L.McNally. Les Kelliors. Work in special set in full stage. Man and woman. They use a helper in the act.Man does an impersonation of a side-show barker. Acrobatics,feats of strength,and some juggling. I0 minutes. A very good act,but it only received a fair hand. Went better at night. Ward and Weber. Special drop in full stage. Two natty youths in a singing,dancing, and costume change act. A very good dancing act,but it did not get ever,at matinee.Went very good at night. Goldrick,Moore and Klaiss. Special set in full stage. One woman and two men in a singing skit entitled "Camping" I5 minutes. The act was a hit, both matinee and evening They do some singing,dancing,and comedy,and on the whole the act is a very pleasing novelty. Lillian Webb and Her Six Pickaninnies. Six colored people,One girl and five men,one of whom impersonates a girl very well.Miss Webb, who is white,wears some stunning costumes. A very well costumed actof singing and dancing. Most of the people in the act have played this house before in Gertie LeClair's Picks. I5 minutes in full stage. The act was a hit at both matinee and evening performances.The windup, which is of the usual whirlwind variety was very good, and was very well applauded by the audience. Report on acts playing The Scenic Temple, Three days of July 31, 1913. Show seen by C.L.McNally Thursday matinee and Evening Harvey and McGill. Work I6 minutes in one. The man works as a German comedian and the woman straight. The act consists of comedy talking by the man, and comedy songs by both the man and woman. Also a little dancing. The woman wears three pretty costumes. Both the man and woman appear talented, but the act is new to them. Went fair at matinee and went well at evening. When the act has had a little seasoning it will do very well. The Mysterious Evelyn: Works in special set in full stage. A very pretty [set?]. Does I4 minutes. After a few preliminary magic tricks by the man, ahich are very good,he proceeds to make Evelyn disappear right before your eyes. He then makes her come back. She wears a very pretty costumes,and the act is a very good series of illusions. A very good act, and it went good. Hanlen and Clifton. Two men,who work in a special set in full stage 9 minutes. The act opens with a man playing the piano on the stage.The curtain rises,and the two men are seated smoking. They rise,remove their coats,and proceed to do some of the greatest feats of strength ever seen in this house. The act closes with the men putting on their coats and resuming their smoking. The act is neat and c lean-cut,and the work being done in evening clothes makes a decided novelty,as the usual clothes for their style of work is tights. A very good act,and the audience appreciated it.
