128 Week of August 3d, 1913. SUMMER SHOW B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE CINCINNATI, OHIO J. F. Royal, Mgr. COMEDY PHOTO PLAY: Split reel. LONG & DOVER: 12 min. in one. Clever boys in a neat dancing act. Best here this summer. Have good voices for dancers, and a nice routine. Have several changes, and work through to a good finish. Started the show off well. LORELLE: 10 min. in two. Blind violinist. Young man of neat appearance, who lacks the repulsiveness often found in most blind performers. Has a good program, and is a clever musician. All his numbers went big, and he received a fine closing. LOCAL MOVING PICTURES: These include a bird's eye view of the city five hundred feet above street level. Also the first picture ever made of an aeroplane [airplane] falling to earth from a height of one hundred feet, and becoming a total wreck. O'BRIEN, DENNETT & O'BRIEN: 12 min. in one. Two men and a woman in singing, dancing and piano. Nice appearance and go well. The woman does but little, and the two men get the act over big. Have some new songs which they deliver in nice manner. This act was a real hit. MILDRED & ROUCLERE: 17 min. F. S., special set. As a magician, Rouclere works fast and has a few good applause getters. Having been out of vaudeville for some time, he has not got his routine working right. The "kind applause" finish with the American flag did not work very well, because of an accident to the apparatus. Act proved interesting, but got a very light closing. EMPIRE STATE QUARTETTE: 16 min. in one. Three boys working straight, and the fourth a Hebrew comedian. The summer audiences are very fond of quartettes, and this organization is the big hit of the show. They sing well, and have some good comedy, which, although not new, got big laughs. They went very big throughout, and got a tremendous closing. WOODFORD'S EDUCATED ANIMALS: 12 min. F. S. An interesting animal act which went very strong at the close, as the result of comedy obtained by a clever monkey on a bicycle. Great closing act for this kind of a show. COMEDY PICTURE: Split reel. CUTS: Empire State Quartette: Story about ten temptations of man, and "Why does a chicken lay an egg?"
