146 B. F. KEITH'S UNION SQUARE THEATRE WEEK SEPTEMBER 1st, 1913. FOSTER BALL AND FORD WEST In an amusing specialty called, "Sing the days of '61", very novel and interesting with laugh after laugh. The character of the old Grand Army veteran is immense. A decided hit. Twenty minutes in one. EDDIE FOY Big advance applause. Mr. Foy is giving us the same act as before, with several new songs. The company is not as good as on his previous engagement, although they may shape themselves by continual work, however, the children are seventy-five percent of the act. They were the applause and laughing hit of the show at both performances and, if he ever strikes a town where the audience can cut loose, they will be the greatest attraction in vaudeville, for they can do every thing in the dancing line. Seventeen minutes in one. MELVIN BROTHERS Gymnasts. There is nothing sensational about this set as I was led to believe simply a regular routine of equilibristic work that closed the show nicely. Eight minutes, full stage.
