Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of Sept. 22, 1913. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. This is by far the best of the three shows we have had this season. It contains plenty of class; a great deal of merit; it is the kind of a bill that our people like. I have never heard more spontaneous and collective applause than was given some of the acts here today. MEREDITH & "SNOOZER" A man with a trained bull dog of unusual intelligence, that give a pleasant act which served for our opener. 15 Min. in One. SPRAUGE & MCNEECE Young man and woman of attractive appearance, who offer an unusually clever skating act. 10 Min. F.S. MURIEL & FRANCIS Two young women in a singing act, who, despite the fact that their trunks had not arrived and they were obliged to work in street clothes, scored an unqualified hit. A splendid bargain at the money. 15 Min. in One. FREDERIKA SLEMONS & CO. In a sketch of New York East Side life, entitled, "Liz." A very fine sketch, well played by Miss Slemons and one of the men of her support. while the other two are not brilliant, they serve their purpose and don't offend. An act that everybody will want. 20 Min. F. S. SIX AMERICAN DANCERS In their new act, which was an unqualified hit. 16 Min. in One. MEISTERSINGERS OF BOSTON This superb singing act scored its usual hit. It only remains for me to say that I will be glad to play them every season. 30 Min. F. S. SMITH, COOK & BRANDON The same act with the same jokes that Cook has told for the last 30 years, but they have added, this season, a young woman who is quite a remarkable toe-dancer. A low comedy act was just what we wanted in this spot, for that reason they went better than I think they would otherwise; nevertheless, I think I will skip them for the next five years. 20 Min. Open and close in One. THE ACT BEAUTIFUL Man and woman, horse and 4 dogs in statue pictures of "The Hunt." A very pretty act. 10 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
