NEW YORK SHOW: WEEK DECEMBER 29th, 1902: STEREOPTICON: Usual collection of views: 8 minutes in one. ER-2, LEIGHTON & LEIGHTON:- Two men in a singing and dancing act. Make up in fancy suits, work in white face, sing coon songs passably well and dance acceptably. Can be called a good act for early part of bill. 12 minutes in one. SR-3, EDITH RICHARDS:- A rather pretty young girl, introducing small musical act, playing on sleigh bells, trombone and one or two other instruments. Quite a dainty little act. 9 mins. full stage; can workin one if necessary. NR-3, DELMORE & ONEIDA:- [Perch?] act. Man and woman. This is a very dainty little act, and the woman is fully as good in her work as many of the Japanese performers who make a specialty of this sort of act. 10 Mins. P.. NH-3, JOHNSON & WELLS:- A colored man and woman in an extremely good singing and talking act. Also introducing a little eccentric dancing. Consider the act about as good as any of the colored acts that play the house. 12 minutes in one. NH-3, ORTH & FERN:- Two young men who do a rather clever specialty in which they introduce some acceptable piano playing, and conclude with some original songs and parodies, both of them being very good singers. This is a good act throughout. 20 mins. open full stage close in one. GER-2, THE BROS. FRENCH: This is a new bicycle act which has just landed in this country, and nearly all their work is done on a single wheel, and they give about as wonderful an illustration of equilibristic work as I have ever seen. Made quite an impression this afternoon. 10 mins. [?] SR-3, MARION GARSON:- A young girl in a singing turn. This is a very neat appearing little Miss and has a very sweet sympathetic voice. She really made quite a hit this afternoon. 8 minutes, in one. YYH-2, KENO, WELCH & MELROSE:- Three men in an acrobatic comedy act. One made made up eccentric and the other two straight. Keno is a pretty good comedian in his way, and the other two men are exceptionally good acrobats. This is a strong all round act. 18 minutes, full stage. GYH-3, INMAN & STAATS:- Irish comedians, one made up eccentric and the other straight. They introduce a good line of comedy and close with the burlesque drama business formerly done by Brice & Inman. Went very strong this afternoon. 23 minutes, full stage, close in one. GHR-2, KONORAH:- Known as the modern Fitch. This woman, with the assistance of a man, does some really remarkable lightning calculations, and much of it without either seeing or hearing the figures. There is no doubt that that she is the best in that line that has ever appeared in vaudeville, but it is somewhat doubtful if she makes the success Inaudi did here. I am not exactly clear whether she will make a strong feature or not, and would rather wait for two or three more performances before deciding. 24 minutes; full stage. GYH-2, SIDNEY GRANT:- [?] songs, stories and impersonations. Always good. 19 minutes in one. YRR-2, MIDGLEY CARLISLE:- Introducing one of their Sammy and Sarah acts entitled "Taking a Tonic", and although it has been done in this house two or three times it seemed to go fully as strong as ever. 25 minutes; open full stage, close in one. SRR-2, SIX GLINCERETTIS:- Rather a big, ambitious acrobatic act. Quite showy and introducing some very good work. 10 minutes; full stage. Kr-3, BIOGRAPH:- Usual collection of views: 12 minutes in one.
