REPORT ON SHOW KEITH'S THEATRE, PROVIDENCE, R. I., DEC. 29TH, (CHAS. LOVENBERG)
Stereopticon. Not required.
Cherry & Bates, Bicycle act. Fairly good. 12 min. full stage three shows.
Crawford & Duff. Man and woman. Eccentric comedy sketch, singing and dancing. Fairly good act for its place on the bill. 12 min. open three close in one, 3 shows.
Horse-Shoe Trio. Good comedy act in a small way. Got lots of laughs and seemed to please the people. 20 min. fill stage, 3 shows.
Nice Twins. Young man and woman in songs and dancing. The act was not at all great but they make a pleasing appearance and are of some value as they work in one. 3 shows. 12 min. in one.
Le Page & Florence. Man in trick jumping, kicking and volting. Woman is merely an assistant to hold the stuff. Very clever act out of the ordinary and contains plenty of variety and may be classed as good. 12 min. full stage, 3 shows.
The Lackeys - musical - 12 in 1 - 3 shows - good
Banks & Wenona Winter. In a sketch introducing singing and imitations. Act is very similar to the one they formerly had. Went very well especially the girl's imitation of Vernon the ventriloquist. 20 min. 2 shows, open three close in one.
Three Keatons. This act made a great hit, of course, entirely upon the kid's appearance and work. The man and woman are not better than they were before but the kid certainly goes strong. 20 min. open full stage, close in one, 2 shows.
Cushman, Holcomb & Curtis. In a new version of their old act. Some new material ans some old. Act is not as strong with the audience as on previous visits. Open three close in one, 25 min. 2 shows.
Lewis McCord & Co. In "Her "Last Rehearsal" This act made a great hit and kept the audience howling for one half an hour. Full stage, 2 shows 30 minutes.
John Kernell. Best act he has done in years. and went very well with the audience. 15 min. in one, 2 shows.
Bob Cole & Rosamond Johnson. Realized all expectations. Very strong indeed. Open full stage close in one, 2 shows, 20 minutes.
Three Yoscarrys. Same act they have done previously and which may be rated the same. 10 min. full stage 2 shows.
Biograph. O.K.
The show as a whole is exceptional in merit and no doubt will draw us a big week's business.
