REPORT ON SHOW, KEITH'S THEATRE, PROVIDENCE, R. I. , JANUARY 26, 1906/ (CHARLES LOVENBERG) The show as a whole is considered by patrons among the very best we have had this season and I, personally, consider it probably the strongest we have had this season. Stereoptican. As usual. Ozav & Delmo. Comedy Jugglers. Their juggling is most ordinary and were it not for the bar-room setting that they give the act and a little comedy put in which in itself is not very good it would be a very bad act. As it is it may be classed fair. 13 min. full stage. Nevins & Arnold. A youthful couple who do some fairly good staging and a very neat and graceful dance. Fairly good act. 10 min. in one. Barry & Halvers. In the sketch they have done before in which the man does a tramp. His work is quite clever and here is acceptable only. Much to my surprise they made a hit at the afternoon show. 19 min. full stage. Biograph. Good collection of views. Ada Arnoldson. This woman is a very good singer and has a very good voice and her stage appearance has improved since her last visit. She is particularly strong for us as she formerly resided here and a large number of her Sweede friends were present at last night's show which showed she had draft. 9 min. in one. Bins, Bins, & Bins. Comedy musical act in which the musical portion is decidely the best feature, comedy only being fair, however they made good. 20 min. closing in one. Alcide Capitains Trapeze. The nicest act of that kind we have played. 10 min. full stage. Wilbur Hill & Willette Whitaker Banjo playing and coon songs by Miss Whitaker. A hit. 12 min. in one. Howell Hansell & Co. In "The Man Upstairs". This act plainly shows in its authorship the work of a man familiar with stagecraft in place of the usual sketch that we get. Is a most acceptable offering. Made the biggest hit both afternoon and evening. It is well played. 27 min. full stage. Haines & Vidocq. Their usual act which is the hit of the show. 17 min. in one. The Five Juggling JOHNSONS. This act is too well known to need any comment, suffice to say, that they went very strong. 8 min. full stage. Lamar & Gabriel. Talking act of which little Gabriel is, of course, the feature and I consider the hit they make is probably due to his size and also to the fact that he is a resident of Providence. 15 min. in one. Muly Ambark's Arabs. Usual act of its kind which is no better or worse than the rest. They make a great hurrah finish for a show but their individual work does not compare with most European acrobatic acts. 8 min. full stage. Ray & Brosche. On the afternoon show this act fell down considerably due undoubtedly to the fact that the big end of their show was so very strong and lively that the contrast was too great which would have been the case with any of the small acts that I had, among which this is probably the best. On the night show going on at about 7:30 they made quite a hit and their act must be classed as good. 18 min. open and close in one. Tom Brown & Miss Navarro. Colored singers , dancing and change act. Same as they have done on previous visits. Good act. 13 min. in one. Juliet Wood & Fred Ray. Eccentric comedy sketch. This act while going very quietly in the afternoon went strong in the evening show going on about 7:45. 17 minutes close in one. Good act. Fialkowski. In his usual imitations of animals etc which may be classed as good. 15 minutes in one.
