Report of PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of February 27, 1911. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. The bill plays exceedingly well, much better in fact than it looks on paper and if the advent of Lent doesn't hurt us we ought to do a good week's business. At the first performance practically everything made good, several acts scoring decided hits. THE BALZARS Comedy magic act. Held this spot satisfactorily 19 Min. F. S. ARTHUR WHITELAW Irish Comedian. Did very well indeed. 17 MIN. in One. PERCY WARAM & CO. Comedy sketch, "The Boatwain's Mate." A good vehicle. Splendidly played and thoroughly appreciated. 19 Min. F. S. BRENT HAYES Banjoist. Something of a virtuoso. While he went well, I don't believe he was appreciated for his full value. Probably will go better with the night audiences. 11 Min. in One. HOMER MILES & CO. In a sketch called, "On A Side Street." This is a good playlet, well acted by the principals and fairly well by the support. The objectionable feature that was in it when first presented has been eliminated by changing the story from a "Cadet" to a "Pickpocket." The act was appreciated most thoroughly, receiving strong applause at the finish with plenty of laughs all through. 19 Min. F. S. NELLIE NICHOLS Well-known comic singer who made the real big hit of the show. 15 Min. in One. THE LORCH FAMILY European risley act, too well-known to require description. Can only say they made a big hit. 12 Min. F. S. SHARKEY, GEISSLER & LEWIS Singing trio, scored very strongly. 17 Min. in One. JACK & VIOLET KELLY Whip experts. Held this spot satisfactorily. 13 Min. F. S. DAYLIGHT MOTION PICTURES O. K.
