HUDSON THEATRE, UNION HILL, N.J. JOHN C. PEEBLES. Week of April 17, 1911. LA SALLE & LIND. Club Jugglers. Substituted Monday night for William Baylies. A very ordinary opening act. Baylies was unable to open at the matinee because his apparatus was not in working order. After the matinee he set up his cabinet which promptly collapsed and he decided to return to New Bedford. Garden in 2. Time 8 min. EXPOSITION FOUR. Music Experts. A big hit with today's audience. Act too well known to need description. It is one of the best musical acts in vaudeville. C.D.Fcy in 3. Close in 1, 3 min. DIAMOND & ROTHER "Something New." This is another man and woman act recruited from musical comedy, this being their second week in vaudeville. It was one of the big applause hits of the show here today and is an act that any manager should be glad to play on his program. Their style of work is different from the others, they have a good stage appearance, Diamond is an excellent comedian and Miss Rother has voice and looks. Olio in 1. Time 21 min. UNA ABELL BRINKER & CO., "The Murder of Mumford." A rather light waisted comedy sketch that pleases her on account of the personal popularity of Miss Brinker and Mr. Hart, two of the Hoboken stock favorites. I doubt if the act would please in places where Miss Brinker is not known. C.D.Fcy in 3. Time 20 min. FRED ST. ONGE TROUPE. The Whimsical Wheelman. One of the best comedy bicycle acts I have played this season. The three people work fast, the young woman in the act is very attractive and I consider it the best act St. Onge has ever put over. Garden in 4. Time 12 min. THE STEDMANS. "Pianocapers." Three newcomers certainly put it over in good shape today and held this spot nicely. On the big time the act might fare better earlier in the bill. Olio in 1. Time 14 min. LOUIS SIMON & CO., "The New Coachman." Have seen this act so often that I almost know it backwards but I never heard the act go better than it did today. C.D.Fcy in 3. Time 28 min.
