C. E. BARNS. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. OCT. 16, 1911. RICHARDSON'S POSING DOGS. 9 min. F.S. A very novel and showman-like animal act, and seemed especially to please the children. Each "picture" got a good hand. Closed well. MUSICAL AVOLOS. 14 min. in one. Well known act on the circuit, using xylophones of extraordinary size and strength of volume. Played four selections which were well applauded. Make a fine appearance, one of the ladies introducing a vocal selection. Closed strong. FELIX & BARRY GIRLS. 18 min. F.S., close in one. this well known act was certainly a riot of fun with our baseball-holiday crowd today. The two Barry Girls make a very pretty appearance in three changes of costume. They sing well, dance extraordinarily well and have good material. The finish in one was particularly amusing and brought the act to a big applause close. CHINKO. 11 min. F.S. This young man has a splendid act, put on in true showmanlike manner. All his paraphernalia is pleasing, and he does a good many remarkable stunts that have not been seen here before, although many of them were of the regulation order done by Solerno and others. Received good applause for every one of his stunts and closed very well indeed. LEO CARRILLO. 17 min. in one. Introduced a lot of new material today, also giving considerable that was already familiar to our audience, and all of it excellent in quality and delivered in his own individual manner. An unqualified hit today right up to a smashing big finish. "EVERYWIFE." 31 min. The big reputation that this play has fully justified itself today. Each one of the impressive and humorous scenes held the interest of the audience and won splendid applause at the finish. The work of "Everyhusband" and in fact all the players was thorough and finished. The woman's costumes are magnificent and the stage setting all that could be desired. This act has been heralded widely and certainly will be the popular hit of the town for the balance of the week. THE JACK WILSON TRIO. 20 min. in one. Wilson began by giving some amusing burlesque lines on "Everywife," Leo Carrillo, Chinko, etc. Each got the crowd and started off the act in great shape. Continued with their music and fun to constant laughter and applause. Closed immensely after the original baseball championship song and eccentric dancing. WILLS & HASSAN. 10 min. F.S. A truly remarkable pair of athletes on the mat, stairs and pedestal. Their head-and-hand balancing got the big hand all the way through, and their work on the mat was largely original. Closed very strong. KINETOGRAPH. The Photoplane Motion Pictures of current events, both the pathe and the vitagraph, continue to hold a large proportion of the audience, and they are certainly highly interesting and instructive. GEN. REM. A great show and no mistake. This is practically what might be called a baseball-holiday week, for whether the games are played here or in New York, the town is full of strangers and the attendance is certain to be good. Announcements of the details of the game from the stage between the acts got the big applause, and, or course, this afternoon after the announcement of the defeat of the "Giants" by the Athletics, the applause was deafening. Excellent stereopticon pictures will be shown afternoon and evening during the Championship Series - those taken on the field of conflict the day before. CUTS. FELIX & BARRY GIRLS. "We are having a hellish time." JACK WILSON. "Take your ungodly hands off me."
