TRENT THEATRE CRITICISM, WEEK OF NOVEMBER 20, 1911 By J. F. Clancy AFTERNOON SHOW MINT & WERTZ Eccentric comedy acrobatic act. Works in full stage. A fair opening act. BUD AND NELLIE HEIM Juvenile entertainers. Work in "One." These children give a wholesome and satisfying entertainment. The boy member of the pair is a finished and original comedian and ought to be heard from some day. The act has improved greatly since its previous appearance here last year and went very big today. HOMER MILES & CO Comedy sketch, "On A Side Street." Works in "two." Special scene. One of the best things in the sketch line I have witnessed in some time. It tells a good story that is interrupted repeatedly by choice comedy sayings. MAYME REMINGTON AND HER PICKS Works in "one." This well-known act closed the first half of our bill in very good shape. INTERMISSION "DINKELSPIEL'S CHRISTMAS" Comedy sketch, full stage. This act went big at the opening show this afternoon. The story is certainly a novel one and is mighty well played. FELIX ADLER Comedy songs and stories in "one." Mr. Adler had an extremely hard spot to fill at the matinee today, following "Dinkelspiel's Christmas." The German songs with which he opened failed to get over and it was not until the middle of his act that the audience warmed up to him. After that the sailing was away and he went very big at the finish. HERBERT'S DOGS A mighty clever and entertaining dog act but not quite strong enough to close this bill. We move them up to fifth position tonight, changing places with "Dinkelspiel's Christmas."
