GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. JOHN P. HARRIS. SEPTEMBER 16TH, 1912. RICHARD WALLEY & CO. Juggler. 14 minutes. Palace. This young man's act is a copy of Salerno's and does very well to open the show. JOHNNY JOHNSON. Olio. 11 minutes. It hardly gets by in No. 2 position. SPISSELL, QUAIL & MACK. Special. Kitchen scene. 11 minutes. Comedy acrobatic. I consider this just a fiar set and would not care to play it any later than No. 3 on the bill. SIMONE DE BERYL. 12 minutes. Full stage. This is a posing act with the best lantern effects I have ever seen. While this is a very good act, I consider it well paid, even at the reduced price at which they are paid now. OLIVE BRISCOE. 15 minutes. Olio. Songs and patter. Miss Briscoe is not doing well for us. She has a very good place on the bill and she is just getting by. Her material is not good. MABEL TALIAFERRO & CO. 18 minutes. Full stage. Interior. "The Return of Tori San." Nothing startling about this act. However, Miss Taliaferro is a clever actress and the sketch is a little different from anything we have played. While not a big hit, she is doing very well. BONITA & LEW HEARN. 21 minutes. Open and close Olio in one. Talking and singing. Bonita is really a hit with us and the comedy of Mr. Hearn is going big. JEWELL'S MANIKINS. Full stage. 21 minutes. This act is not near so good as formerly. PATHE WEEKLY
