107 B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Week of Nov. 25th, 1912 Cleveland, Ohio THE SEEBACKS - Novelty Bag Punchers. 15 minutes in 4, special set. A very good opening act. Nothing especially new in the tricks, but the audience was liberal with its applause. (Toledo) PHIL STAATS - - Pianologue. 17 minutes in one. Staats is doing his regulation stuff, and although a part of his talk is a little rough he gets it over in good shape. (Philadelphia. EMILY DARRELL & CHARLEY CONWAY - - Comedy sketch "Behind the Scenes". Man and woman, bare stage, finish in one, with velvet drop. 19 minutes This is a very clever act and can work further down on a bill. There are a lot of good laughing points, while the costumes are changed so frequently that the audience is kept entertained. (Syracuse) AUSTRALIAN WOODCHOPPERS - - Full stage 14 minutes. this is not a new act to Cleveland, having appeared previously at a cheaper house. They begin with a moving picture of the Australian woods, have a lecturer who's fair, and work unusually hard during their time on the stage. The act is a novelty and gets considerable applause. (Open) ED CORRELLI AND CHARLES GILLETTE - - The Odd Pair. This is an acrobatic team working 13 minutes in one. Doing some very clever comedy, with a little too much talk. The act goes over in good shape. (Atlanta) MRS. LANGTRY & CO - "The Test" 16 minutes C.D.F. Two men, one woman and Mrs. Langtry. So much has been said about this sketch that a continuation of this subject would be simply repetition. The sketch is bad, has no action and the acting is without any merit whatever. The heroic action of the male members of the company comes as the result of one man calling another man's wife by her first name and kissing her hand. Such heroics are considered "mock" by our audiences. Mrs. Langtry's costuming of the act is really the princiPAL part of the offering. (New York) CHUNG WHA COMEDY FOUR - Chinese Quartette. This is a novelty act, with plenty of action and several changes of costume. It would be more attractive further up on a strong program. 14 minutes in one. (Open) THE JUNGMAN TROUPE - - Tight wire Experts. 9 minutes, palace. this is a high class wire act, plenty of action, well costumed, good comedy and will work well on any bill. (Dayton)
