Enter the sister of one of the train robbers. She is greatly excited and wants to borrow the automobile to meet her brother who is speeding on an express train to a station some miles away. The thief wants to know why she needs the car. After some hesitation she tells him. He then confesses he is also a thief and agrees to help her. The chauffeur refuses to drive the auto at a mile a minute clip to overtake the train. In their midst suddenly comes a detective. He cover the group and says they are all under arrest for having taken part in the train robbery. By trickery the swell thief takes away the detectives two revolvers and covers him. Suddenly the chauffeur extinguishes the dim light in the place and the trio duck out leaving the minion of the law in darkness. Then the race between the auto and the train is seen. Dim lights in the mountain passes are shown as the scene changes to that of a railroad crossing with the watchman's shanty nearby. Presently the lights grow bigger as they come closer. At last they pull up to the crossing, the stage is lighted and the auto and train and almost to the footlights. The sister meets her brother tells him the detectives are after him and gives him the directions to make his escape. Four men and a woman are the principal characters. The act carries three stage hands. Went big at both performances Special scenery, time of act 22 Min. PHOTOPLANE Satisfactory.
