112 Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of December 2, 1912. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. The bill is what I consider a fairly good one; two or three of the early acts didn't do as well as I had hoped for but as a whole I think it will give satisfaction. NETTIE CARROLL TRIO These people carry a lot of scenery and open with quite a display but there is not much wire work of real merit. 11 Min. F. S. PEPPINO Accordion player; this man does not execute quite as much as some of the other performers upon the same instrument that we have had but he plays with a good deal of musical taste and the kind of music that is better fitted for the instrument than some of the others, who attempt the classical upon it; with the difference in salary, I would just as soon have him as some of the more noted in his line. 12 Min. in One. FRANK MAYNE & CO. Protean sketch, "The Third Degree." I think this is a fair act, well played, fairly well presented, but I don't believe the big time houses care tremendously for an act of this kind any longer; in the smaller places I would consider it a good feature. 25 Min. F. S. EDDIE ROSS Blackface comedian; while Mr. Ross did very well, he by no means scored as strongly as he did on his previous visit. 12 Min. in One. THE 3 JOSETTYS Comedy risley act; a crack-a-jack turn of its kind which made a decided hit. 8 Min. in One. LAMBERT & BALL These people's work is so well known that it requires no comment other than to say that they made their usual big hit. They worked in one this afternoon but on the reconstructed bill they will work in Two. 22 Min. THE 3 LYRES These three boys did so well in an earlier spot that I unhesitatingly moved them down to this place in the bill. 19 Min. in One. DIGBY BELL & CO. This is the first act of Joe Hart's that I ever saw presented with a competent cast; every member of the company has ability; the sketch itself, is a scream and went over in great shape. 28 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
