151 HUDSON THEATRE, UNION HILL, WEEK 30, 1912. Tuesday night show. Jos. R. Smith. BEN BERNON and COMPANY Two men and a woman in a comedy pantomime, "The Broken Mirror". Scene interior of a German army officer's room. The officer enters in an intoxicated condition. He retires to another room and during his absence the maid and the officer's valet break a standing mirror. Presently the officer returns in shirtsleeves and approaches the mirror. The valet hastily dresses to look like the officer and both reach the mirror at the same time. The valet makes every move the officer makes fooling him into believing he is looking at the mirror. The sketch ends when the officer is satisfied the mirror is all right. There is quite a little comedy brought out at the mirror. It is a fair opening act. C.D.F. 12 Min. JETTER and ROGERS Two men who have a humorous dialogue The feature of the act is a dance on roller skates which closes it. The act went very good. special drop 15 Min. in one. JOSE' ERARD Grand opera tenor, who appears in evening clothes and sings two operatic selections and one sentimental ballad. He possesses a good voice and his numbers are carefully selected. He went good with this audience. In one 11 Min. "A NIGHT ON A HOUSE BOAT" Presented by Jesse Lasky. Three men and four women. This well known act went good. F.S. 20 min. INTERMISSION JOSEPHINE SAXTON and her Picks, three girls and a boy. Miss Saxton opens with a coon song nicely sung. towards the close two picks dressed to look like a newly married couple march down the centre aisle with the spotlight on them, scoring a big laugh. The scene changes to a cotton field where each of the picks performs a fast dance. The act closes with Miss Saxton leading in the final dance. The act went good. In one 11 Min. 4 Min. in two, 3 Min. in one, time of act 18 Min. MISS FLORENCE MODENA, in a "Lesson in Reform". Scene interior of a wealthy man's home. The wife getting the idea that she must pay less attention to her husband and more to the poor of the world proceeds to give away his clothes. The husband returns and learns what she has done. He tells her he must reform the chorus girls and ballet dancers so he gives away his wifes clothes. The wife then decides she is mistaken and agrees to pay more attention to her husband and forget about the poor. The act went good. C.D.F 14 Min. HOEY and LEE These well known Jew comedians with songs and stories were a riot. The act is the applause hit of the bill. In one 16 Min. [GREGOIRE?], MLLE. ELMIA and COMPANY "The furniture Tusslers" Two men and a woman. They balance on their heads all kind of parlor furniture. Some of the stunts are performed on each other's shoulders. The closing feature is performed by a man. On his forehead he carries a couch from the centre aisle of the theatre up a ladder to the stage, then climbs another ladder and descends to the stage. This act went good and closed the show in fine shape. F.S. 14 Min. PHOTOPLANE Satisfactory.
