159 CHASE'S WASHINGTON, D.C. Week January 6th., 1913. THREE MORI BROS. Japanese slack wire and barrel-tossing act. These three clever men do some excellent work which is interspersed with no small amount of good clean comedy. An act that could go any place on this bill and do well. F.S. HUNTING AND FRANCIS In a little singing and dancing act entitled "The Love Prescription". We are somewhat disappointed in the work of these performers; the act seems to fall just a little short of being strong enough for big time work in our opinion. In one. Daniel Frohman's "DETECTIVE KEEN" We like this act very much. It is full of life and dash and the intensely dramatic situation, with the startling denouement at the finish, makes it one of the best serio-comic melodramas we have ever played. The cast is capable, especially Mr. Arthur Hoops, who seems [to] get the best possible results from his role. F.S. INTERMISSION KITTY TRANEY "After the Corso". While we have played this act before, it seemed to be appreciated by our audience just as much as formerly. It is a pretty act and the work of the trained animals and the juggling of Miss Traney make it a good offering, especially in this position on the bill. F.S. Jesse L. Lasky's "THE EARL AND THE GIRLS" Mr. Lasky has improved this act to a great extent by the addition of the Courtney Sisters, who instill quite a lot of life into the little musical comedy. However, the act is not up to the standard of Mr. Lasky's former offering, but may improve to some degree with more work. F.S. Special set. KINEMACOLOR PICTURES "Lake Garda", the most beautiful of the Italian lakes and "Trout Fishing". A good film, but not quite so entertaining as some of the preceding films.
