167 REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW,WEEK JAN.13,1913--W.W.PROSSER- GERE & DELANEY: Man and woman in fancy skating number. Fair and that is all. Just about got by. No finish to speak of. Special in 4, 8 min. (Syracuse) GEORGETTE: Juvenile comedienne. Pretty clever little girl who sang four songs, all of which made a good impression. Her youth no doubt contributed largely to her success, Her ability being nothing unusual. Street in 1,17 min. (Indianapolis) BERT CUTLER: Expert billiardist. Shows a number of difficult shots, with running fire of comedy talk. The act seemed to thoroughly interest. Each feat was applauded. He finished in 1, with a few stories. This is the weakest part of his act, and should be eliminated when conditions permit. Moderately strong finish. Palace in 4, close in 1. 16 min. (Syracuse) NORTON & NICHOLSON: In "A Dramatic Cartoon". This is the old act, "Ella's Alright" Went big throughout. Thorough attention and liberal applause and laughter. Finished strong. Plain Chamber in 2 1/2, 20 min. (Open) COOMBS & ALDWELL: Two men in straight singing number, a la Kelly & Rose. both have good voices and they put their songs over to excellent advantage. Their exits and entrances appeared somewhat awkward, suggesting either carelessness or lack of thorough working out. Good strong finish. Olio in 1. 14 min. (Pittsburgh) SAM CHIP & MARY MARBLE: In "The Land of Dykes". A typical Dutch offering for which this couple are so wellknown. The special set is elaborate and received a big round of applause at the opening. The work of Chip and Marble is as good as ever, the Burgomaster of John W.Dunne being all that could be desired. Laughter, applause and a good finish. Special in 5, 24 min. (Milwaukee) CHARLIE CASE: Well-known monologist. Gave us about the same material as of yore, all of which created interest and laughter. Genuine hit, with strong finish. Olio in 1, 13 min. (Toledo) MARY BARLEY'S BULL DOGS: This act did not appear at the matinee, owing to loss of baggage between Syraacuse and here. (Toledo) Pathe Picture: O.K.
