194 REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW,WEEK JAN.27,1913. ---- W.W.PROSSER RICHARD WALLY. Man and assistant, presenting a good juggling number. Most of the work being with billiard balls and [cues?]. Alright for an opener. Palace in 5, 15 min. SAMPSEL & REILLY: "The Fashion Plate Entertainers". Man and woman in singing and dancing number. Quite good of its kind, and got along first-rate. Although they do nothing off color, you feel that they are likely to at any minutes, which detracts from the merit. Finished fairly strong. Olio in 1, 15 min. (Louisville) BILLY "SWEDE" HALL: With Jennie Colborn. In "Made Good", a comedy Protean offering. This act is away from anything that has been here and seemed to give general satisfaction. Plenty of laughter, and held attention throughout. Good, strong finish. Special in 3, 24 minutes. THREE HICKEY BROTHERS: Three men. Two work straight and one eccentric, in acrobatic and dancing stunt. a very meritorious act with new tricks and plenty of comedy. Made good throughout and finished strong. Special and olio in 1,18 minutes. (Cleveland) WOOD & WYDE: Another man and woman in singing and dancing number. So similar to that of Sampsel and Reilly that quite a number thought they were the same people. Clever enough, but another of those stunts that keeps you guessing for fear they'll do some "dirty work", any minutes. They did not, however, and proved quite acceptable. Finished strong. Special in 1 1/2 18 min. (Open) LAMBERTI: Wellknown impersonator of famous musicians. Made good from beginning to end, holding closest attention and finishing strong. Special in 4, 27 min. LEW HAWKINS: Just the same as of yore, and really the applause hit of the bill, and the biggest creator of laughter, notwithstanding age of his material. Went big throughout and finished strong. Street in 1, 18 min. (Syracuse) KAUFMAN TROUPE: 1 man and 5 women in a cycling number that proved a good closer. Won applause all along the line and finished strong. Terract in 5, 8 min. PATHE WEEKLY PICTURE: O.K.
