B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of Dec. 17, 1911 MAREENA & DELTON BROS. Hand balancers and equilibrists, with a third man working comedy. 11 minutes, full stage. A great act - lots of new things. Big laughter and applause throughout. Went big. Much too strong for an opening act. Act open next week; address Hotel Walton, Cincinnati, if they don't fill. LILLIAN ASHLEY: Songs and stories. 11 minutes in One. Miss Ashley opened moderately well, but grow stronger as she progressed, finishing with her old telephone song, which went big, as did also her stories. A hit at the finish. Act goes to LOUISVILLE, KY. THE WHITTAKERS: Man and woman; English comedy artists, in a burlesque entitled "Dick Whittington". 13 minutes, full stage. The woman does straight work, and the man impersonates a huge cat, in which his antics proved a riot. Very funny, with many good laughs. Went good. Act goes to LOUISVILLE, KY. PAUL DICKEY & CO.: In a college sketch entitled "The Come Back". 28 minutes, full stage, own set; very pretty setting. Best comedy sketch seen here this season. Went big. Act goes to CHICAGO. LEIPZIG: Royal conjurer. 17 minutes in One. He confines his work to card tricks, all of which are good. He works with a committee from the audience. Work is clean and classy, and the act for its kind is a good one. Act goes to LOUISVILLE. JESSE L. LASKY'S "CALIFORNIA": An operetta. 37 minutes, full stage, own set - very pretty one. The singing is very fine, and all the members are clever. A great big act which made a big hit. Act goes to UTICA, N. Y. CHARLEY CASE: Opening with one song, and concluding with a series of stories. 16 minutes in One. Some very good material, and most of it new. Went very good. Act goes to COLUMBUS. JUIAN & DYER: Comedy acrobats. 11 minutes, full stage. This act is copied, to a great extent, from that of Rice & Prevost and from Martinetti & Sylvester. One in straight work on swinging rings and bar, and the other knockabout clown comedy. Many good laughs. Goes to LOUISVILLE. B. F. KEITHOSCOPE: Pathe's Weekly of Current Events. 16 minutes. Good. GENERAL REMARKS: The show is a very good one throughout. CUTS: In act of Paul Dickey & Co., the expression "Wring your damn head off" eliminated; also the expression "Where the hell is the soap?"; also the expression, "Run like hell". Even with the missing act, the show was not out Sunday night until 11:05. It makes a splendid show without Julian & Dyer. C. L. Doran.
