B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of April 14th, 1912. STUART & KEELEY: Man and woman. Dancing. 13 min. in one, own drop. Each represents different characters, with a variety of costumes and dances. A good dancing act. Went good. Too strong for opener. INDIANAPOLIS. PREISDENTIAL PRIMARY: 4 min. Same pictures as run last week, with the name of the state added to each candidate's name. Still going good as ever, with the applause confined to Harmon and Wilson for the Democrats, and Roosevelt and Taft for the Republicans. MRS. GARDNER CRANE & CO.: In the farce "The Little sunbeam". 27 min. in two; own set. This is the same old sketch without change, and is not going as good as formerly, probably because most of our regulars have seen it enough. MILWAUKEE. STROLLING PLAYERS: 2 men. 15 min. in one. In garb of street musicians, one with violin, the other with mandolin; also songs. Went very good. LOUSIVILLE DAVE FERGUSON: Storiette comedian. 17 min. in one, own drop. Mr. Ferguson did not make much of an impression at either Sunday performance. MILWAUKEE ARNOLD DALY & CO.: Sketch entitled "A Comedy for Wives". 20 min. F. S. Advance hand for Mr. Daly. The sketch is a very poor one. It is too talky, and is uninteresting. Sunday night's audience particularly did not like it. Mr. Daly is suffering from a severe cold, and this only added to the general disatisfaction with the act. OPEN NEXT WEEK. EMPIRE COMEDY FOUR: Songs and comedy. 21 min. in one. This is really the headline act of the show, and is the first thing that wakes them up. Went big at both Sunday performances. PITTSBURG. EIGHT PALACE GIRLS: Singing and dancing. 10 min. F. S. own act. A very classy act, fine dancing, beautiful set and costumes. CHICAGO. B. F. KEITHOSCOPE: Pathe's weekly of current events. 8 minutes. Show out at 4:35 and 10:35. REMARKS: There appeared to be something lacking to the show at the Sunday matinee performance, and the order was changed as follows: (1) Strolling Players; (2) Presidential slides; (3) Dave Ferguson; (4) Mrs. Gardner Crane & Co.; (5) Stuart & Keeley; (6) Arnold Daly & Co. (7) Empire Comedy Four; (8) Eight Palace Girls. This cause the show to go considerably better Sunday night. SUGGESTION- To Those Who Are Using the Gelatine News Bulletin Slides: We have been experimenting with the gelatine slides, and find that the best results are obtained by using the original white gelatine sheet, printing thereon the bulletins with the typewriter red ribbon, then, in front of this, on the machine is thrown a green glass slide, thus producing on the picture curtain a green background and the letters appearing in black, but much plainer than in any other way. We thus threw on the picture sheet a very plain bulletin, all preparations being a matter of but two or three minutes. C. L. Doran.
