CHASE'S WASHINGTON D.C. Week August 26th., 1912. THREE JOSETTYS Three men in a tumbling act. Nice appearing and they work very fast. Could go down lower on the bill. F.S. Dorothy BRENNER & Joseph RATLIFF "At the Flower Stand. A neat little singing act that pleased the audience very well and merited the large amount of applause that they received. Could hold a better spot. In one. PATSY DOYLE Had some good songs and stories and held this position in good shape. In one. THE BELL FAMILY This act needs no description or comment. It is so well-staged, as well -costumed and as well-done as ever. F.S. INTERMISSION "VISIONS d'ART" A nice-looking young woman in a posing act in colors and scenes from a stereoptican. Did well in this position. F.S. "BABY HELEN" A little five-year old tot who is really wonderful in her songs, stories and imitations. The best child we have ever seen. The hit of the show. In one. B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Week of Sept 2, 1912 Cleveland, Ohio POLZIN BROTHERS- - Novelty acrobats. 5-6 minutes in two. A splendid opening act, with novelty enough to please anyone. A good hand at the finish. (Hamilton, Canada) MERLIN AND A PACK OF CARDS - - 15 minutes, opening in two, closing in one Single man who has something of a refreshing innovation in his line of work. He dresses the act well, and becomes well acquainted with his audience, which helps him to go over big. (Syracuse) CHARLES B. LAWLOR & DAUGHTERS - - Vocal sketch "Night & Day on the Sidewalks of New York" 23 minutes in 4, special set. A rather tedious affair without a reason. The vocal part of the sketch does not display any rare voice qualities, while the comedy is of the English music hall variety which takes some time for audiences to absorb. The act closes fairly strong. (Cincinnati)- LIDA McMILLAN & COMPANY - -Sketch "The Late Mr. Allen". Three women, one man. 22 minutes C.D.F. This offering is from the pen of May Tully and is seasoned with double meaning matter which closely approaches vulgarity The theme is that of a woman learning to keep her husband at home by being just as good a fellow as the women whom he associated with away from home. It has all the touches Tullyian, and is not a masterpiece by any means. It is however, very well acted, and gets big laughs from a part of the audience (Open) MAUDE LAMBERT & ERNEST BALL - - With Miss Lambert singing and Ball at the piano this team will make good anyplace and on any spot. The music is tuneful, and Miss Lambert has the looks and personality to makeup for any defects which might occur. The act works 22 minutes in one with grand piano. (Detroit) VICTOR MOORE, EMMA LITTLEFIELD & CO - - Full stage, bare. 26 minutes: Just as good, and as funny as ever. Moore was enthusiastically received at each performance (Cincinnati) ARTHUR DEAGON - - 14 minutes in 1, songs and stories. Deagon's trunk did not arrive, and he went on in street clothes and without full orchestrations and came very near cleaning up the bill. On a program with fewer big names on it he will be a riot. (New York) ROEHM'S ATHLETIC GIRLS- - 11 minutes, special set in 4. Boxing, wrestling and fencing. One of the best closing acts we have had. It duplicates its hit of last season. (Columbus) PICTURES - - PATHE WEEKLY
