BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW DECEMBER 1, 1913. THE MUSICAL SOANES FAMILY. 14 minutes, full stage. Father, two daughters, three sons. Vocal work of trio went very good apparently because of its juvenile quality, the remaining portions of act gets very little of real hearty applause, all audiences seeming quite willing to let them go without any very great demonstration. Billing reads eight people and so advertised. Being only six in the act, we receive criticism for misrepresentation. JACK VAN EPPS. Singing and talking. 13 minutes in (1). Went fair. GOOD ACT. WILLIAM E. BENCE & CO. Sketch "A Chinaman's Dream". 20 minutes in two special sets. Two men, one lady, one super. Scored well, as it contains good comedy. As to the chinese delineation there have been better, and this portion of the act was somewhat dissapointing. GOOD SKETCH [W. E. Parmenter?] MANAGER. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW DECEMBER 4, 1913. THE MANNING TWINS. Singing and acrobatic dancing. 9 minutes in (2). A big hit. Audience quickly recognized the excellent quality of the act, and greeted with long and continuance applause. quite the best sister act yet this season. FRIEND AND LESSER. "The Butler And The Maid". 19 minutes in (1). Went very good. Uproarous laughter all over the house, and went away to big applause. THE GIRL IN THE MOON. 11 minutes, full stage special set. Tremendous success. Applauded to the echo. Recalled again and again. Without doubt one of the biggest hits that has ever played the house. W. E. Parmenter, Mgr.
